Galvanising is the process of coating clean, oxide-free steel with a layer of Zinc or Zinc alloy protect the surface against corrosion. The zinc coating provides protection to Coated Coils & Sheet the iron or steel in two ways:

1. It shields the base metal from atmospheric and environmental corrosion.
2. Zinc layers provide cathodic or sacrificial protection because it is more electronegative than iron or steel. Even if the surface is scratched and the base metal is exposed, the zinc is slowly consumed while the iron or steel remains protected from corrosion.

The hot dip process is adaptable to coating nearly all type of fabricated and non-fabricated products such as structural assemblies, pipes and tubes, fittings, tanks, sheets, strips, and wire cloth.

Aluzinc, Zincalume and Galvalume are different trade names of one product. Aluzinc is cold rolled galvanized steel with metal coating compose of Aluminium (55%), Zinc (43.5%) and slicium (1.6%)
